Tessa Watson BA, E-RYT200, RPYT, Certified Yoga Tune Up® Teacher
I am a knowledgeable, dedicated, and passionate yoga teacher with twenty years of teaching experience.
When teaching, I enjoy sharing movement, breath and centering consciousness with people as a path to greater awareness and community. My gateway to yoga was shown to me by my father when I was 5 years young. I came into my own full practice as I entered college and found the breathing exercises - pranayama, and the physical practice - asana, helped me navigate the stresses of young adulthood. I continually explore the eight-limbed path of yoga philosophy, the yamas and niyamas, as an eternal student. I earned my 200-hour Yoga Teaching Certificate through 8 Limbs Yoga in Seattle, WA and trained in prenatal yoga at Devi Yoga for Women in Boulder, CO. I hold a BA in Geology from Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, CO. I am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) and Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) with Yoga Alliance. My deep curiosity of the body’s structure led me to Yoga Tune Up® where I earned another specialized yoga teaching certificate. Alignment and anatomy weave their way into each of my classes.
Swedish massage technique is long, soothing strokes to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscular tension.
Deep-tissue massage technique is aimed at deeper muscles, tendons and fascia by applying slow firm pressure to release muscular tension.
Thai Bodywork uses stretching techniques and gentle pressure to relax the whole body. Traditionally the session will take place clothed on a cushioned floormat with the client taking a more active roll. Alternately the technique may be integrated into a western massage session.
